Freedom of Your City

Improving cycling in Exeter

Since April 2008, we’ve already completed more than 60 improvements to the roads and lanes of Exeter.

This has mainly focused on improving routes that link to schools and workplaces across the city.

For example, we have created high quality shared use cycle/walkways that give parents the confidence to allow their children to cycle to school. We have also created links to employment areas such as Marsh Barton, Sowton and Pynes Hill, and improved cycle links to the city centre, as well as cycle parking facilities around the city.

See the progress we’ve made.

But there’s still more to come! To keep up with how we’re helping everyone enjoy the freedom of your city, sign up for our email updates.
